Nutraceutical Subcommittee of IDMA is organizing 2 days conference in Mumbai
Nutraceutical Subcommittee of Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association (IDMA) is organizing two days conference on May 10 and 11, 2013 at Mumbai Cricket Association Club, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai to understand the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Act in depth, its impact and how to successfully adapt the same. The Nutraceutical Subcommittee will conduct workshop on “Product Registration Under FSSAI: Knowhow & Challenges.” The conference will be useful for food business operators, nutra products manufacturers and practicing clinicians/dieticians, including medical students and nutritionists.
Mahesh Zagade, commissioner, FDA Maharashtra (Mumbai) and Rajendra Pratap Gupta, chairman – Government Industry Dialogue & president– Disease Management Association of India (Navi Mumbai) will be chairpersons for the first session on May 10, 2013. The first session will be addressed by R S Gadgil, director – Energya Nutrition (Thane), Priti Mohile, MD – MediaMedic Communications (Mumbai), Dr Baidynath Mishra, GM, Regulatory Affairs – Olive Lifesciences Pvt Ltd (Bengaluru) and Ganesh Kamath, director – Vital Neutraceuticals (Thane). This will followed by other speakers in the second session.
Dr Pradip Chakraborty, director, product approval – FSSAI (Delhi) will inaugurate and address the second day conference on 'Nutraceuticals – Functioning of FSSAI'. Dr R K Sanghavi, chairman, Nutraceutical Subcommittee – IDMA (Mumbai) and Sandeep Gupta, vice chairman, Nutraceutical Subcommittee- IDMA (Mumbai) will be the chairpersons for third session on May 11, 2012.
